HOW MUCH DO WEDDING FLOWERS COST, ON AVERAGE?

This is by far the number one question we receive. The truth is, there is really no way to answer this question as every wedding is so different! But there are a few important things for you to consider when planning the budget for your flowers. In our experience we have found that people often forget that hiring a professional florist is not simply getting a product (flowers). When you hire a professional florist you are paying for both a premium product AND a professional service!

 

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "PREMIUM" PRODUCT?

Not all flowers are "created equal" so to speak. Just like with any product you buy, there are levels of quality. Here at Abundant Flowers we use the highest quality blooms, textures, and greens which is what gives our clients the elevated floral look they love! If you're still not sure what we mean, the easiest way to explain it is with roses. Take a look at some of the pictures we've posted - and look at the size of the head and how many petals they have - those are not the same rose you will find at your local grocer!

​WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "PROFESSIONAL SERVICES"?

 There is a common underestimation of what services are required to execute the beautiful floral elements you see on your wedding day! We want to be transparent with you about what we do so that you can better understand the value of your financial investment. Our services start the moment we receive your inquiry - consultations, creating a visual design proposal, weeks/months of coordinating with our suppliers for flower inventories and supplies, coordinating team members and transportation, prepping vases and mechanics for installations, budget spreadsheets, client phone and email correspondence, finalizing and submitting your final flower order, cleaning and prepping water buckets, processing boxes and boxes of flowers in buckets for hydration and opening, managing cooler temperatures and humidity to ensure freshness, stripping rose thorns and a second round of cleaning stems, finally we start the designing process that most often requires around the clock care up until your wedding day! Oh, and that doesn't even include the day of your wedding - loading, transporting, setting up/installing floral structures, ceremony to reception transition, and clean up!

For clients with an investment limit of $3000 or under, we have some packages available to you that give you professional flowers while delegating as much of the day of set up and clean up to your own designated team of helpers which saves you some financial expense. These packages are the perfect balance between DIY and our Comprehensive Service. Lastly the important thing to note is that if you are open and willing, we are more than happy to guide you into floral elements that are right for your financial investment!

WHAT TYPES OF FLOWERS DO YOU USE?

Great question! As you can tell by our designs, we love to use a large variety of blooms and textures and are inspired by seasonal availability and the style of your event! Some common year round flowers we often include are - hydrangeas, tea + garden roses, spray roses, wax, bupleurum, thistle, orchids, proteas, ranunculus, lisianthus, stock, succulents, freesia, proteas, hypericum. Seasonal flowers we love and incorporate whenever available are - blooming branches, acacia, double tulips, hyacinth, anemones, peonies, sweet peas, sunflowers, snapdragons, dahlias, mums, kale, fresh herbs, lilac, clematis, hellebores, winter berries, winter greens, and so many more!

CAN WE REQUEST SPECIFIC TYPES OF FLOWERS?

We understand that you may really love yellow roses because that's what your fiance has always given you, or you just absolutely love the look of the peony (who doesn't!?) and you must have it in your bouquet! You are more than welcome to discuss with us specific types of flowers, and we will do our best to accommodate if it's available! We will be happy to talk you through this in more detail however we also encourage you to consider giving us the opportunity to create without flower specifications! We have found customers that do are usually wowed by the variety we include and likely are introduced to something new they love and didn't know existed!

WILL IT LOOK EXACTLY LIKE OUR INSPIRATION PICTURE?

We know that recreating exact pictures is what a lot of customers are used to, but we're excited about how well received our personalized approach is and how much customers seem to appreciate our artistic standard! We always ask and allow our clients to provide us with pictures for inspiration to fully understand the style and mood you want to establish for your guests. We just ask you to think of us as artists - in the same way you may love the artwork of a specific painter or designer and trust them based on their previous work - we hope for the same! We are artists that create with flowers as our medium - so while we don't recreate the exact pictures you submit, we ensure that we carry through the overall aesthetic and elements that you love from the photo and incorporate it into our work!

AT WHAT PART OF THE PROCESS DO WE NEED TO PAY SOMETHING?

We offer our services on a first come, first serve basis. We require a 30% deposit of the initial proposal to secure your date - and then final payment is due 4 weeks prior to your event date. Payments can be made at your discretion.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR FLOWERS FROM?

We have wonderful suppliers that can source flowers from all over! We prefer to source American Grown whenever possible and are actively seeking out local growers in addition to growing on our own specialty cut flower farm www.abundantflowerfarm.com.

WHERE DO YOU SERVICE?

We primarily service the DFW Metroplex, however are willing to consider travel on a case by case basis!
